Iran and Israel have been trading missiles and drones at each other since the conflict between the two Middle Eastern countries began last Friday.
The war began when the Israeli military launched "Operation Rising Lion" and attacked Iranian cities, saying it had concluded Tehran was on the verge of developing a nuclear weapon.
The United States has bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, President Donald Trump announced in a post on Truth Social on Saturday, as the Israel-Iran conflict entered the second week.
The sites include Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
In an address to the world and nation from the White House, President Trump said: "A short time ago, the US military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime. Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. Everybody heard those names for years as they built this horribly destructive enterprise. Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world's number one state sponsor of terror.
"Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.

According to reports, B-2 bombers took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri in the early morning hours of Saturday (US time).
The warplanes are known not only for their stealth technology, but also for their ability to fly long-range and carry the big “bunker buster” bombs used in the June 21 mission.
