Kamala Harris vs Donald Trump: America votes to elect new President today
After electrifying campaign sessions, 244 million American voters will cast their votes on Tuesday to elect either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump as their next President.
The run-up to the votes has been significant this time with Donald Trump facing two assassination attempts during his campaigning.
Vice President Harris, on the other end, entered as a wildcard midway after President Joe Biden decided to back out from the race after stumbling in his debate with Trump.
So far, 82 million people have cast their ballots and media reports suggest a close contest has been recorded so far.
If Kamala Harris, running for the top job as a Democrat nominee, emerges victorious then she will be the first woman, Black, and Asian-American to lead the nation.
Trump is eyeing for a major comeback.
A win for Trump will make him the first incoming president to have been indicted and convicted of a felony.
Urging voters to cast their rvotes,Harris wrote on X: " Election Day is here. Today, we vote because we love our country and we believe in the promise of America."
Describing Biden administration as 'corrupt', Trump said: " Tomorrow is our last chance to defeat the corrupt establishment. GET OUT AND VOTE!"
