Pakistan: 4 terrorists killed, one injured in military operation along northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Islamabad/IBNS/UNI: The Pakistani military Friday said that security forces have killed four terrorists and injured another in an operation in the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, said in a statement that security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Lakki Marwat district of the province on the reported presence of terrorists.
"During the conduct of the operation, intense fire took place between troops and the terrorists," said the ISPR, adding that four terrorists were killed, while one terrorist got injured and apprehended by the security forces.
According to the statement, the eliminated terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
A huge cache of arms, equipment, and explosives was also recovered during the operation, according to the military.
