Pakistan: Blast during political gathering in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaves 35 dead
At least 35 people died as a blast rocked a political gathering in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) region on Sunday, media reports said.
Caretaker Information Minister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel told Geo News that more than 200 people have been injured during the blast that took place during the speech of a Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader.
Following the blast, the injured people were also rushed to Timergara and Peshawar for treatment.
Police said initial investigation revealed it was a suicide attack.
He added that the investigation teams are collecting evidence from the site of the blast.
