Pakistan: Sikh man in Rawalpindi seeks protection for his community after allegedly receiving threat letter
A Sikh Hakeem (doctor) has sought police protection for his community members after he allegedly received a threatening letter from an unidentified person while going to Taxila from Saddar region of Pakistan.
Ram Singh, a resident of Dhoke Maskeen Hassanabdal lodged an FIR with the Cantt police saying that he is practicing herbal medicine at Sohan Highway, reports Dawn News.
He said while travelling in a wagon to Taxila, two people, who were riding a motorcycle, threw a letter on his lap and escaped.
He said the incident happened when the wagon had stopped after crossing a traffic signal.
Ram said the letter mentioned they would soon end Sikhs in Hazro, Hassanabdal, Taxila, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Following his complaint, the Cantt police registered an FIR and also launched an investigation into the incident.
