Pakistan: University of Karachi issues dress code, directs students not to wear revealing, see-through clothes
The University of Karachi in Pakistan has issued a new dress code for students where they are directed not to wear provocative, offensive, or distracting attire.
According to reports, the notification, dated January 14, 2025, was released by Dr Nosheen Raza, the Students' Adviser,
This includes revealing or see-through clothing, shorts, sleeveless or tight-fitting garments, and clothing featuring objectionable language or graphics, reported Geo News.
The university also asked students to avoid wearing casual slippers on campus.
Talking to Geo.tv, the student adviser mentioned that Karachi University issues notifications regularly related to student discipline.
"Karachi University is among the biggest universities in Pakistan, we have more than 45,000 students enrolled," the adviser told the news channel.
