Pakistani man kills TikToker daughter in the name of honour
A Pakistani father allegedly killed his daughter in the name of honour for making TikTok videos in the South Asian country's Quetta city, media reports said.
Police said during the investigation they found the 15-year-old Pakistani-American dual-national girl was shot dead by her father and maternal uncle.
Hira’s father was enraged over his daughter’s lifestyle and social media presence, particularly her TikTok videos, reported ARY News.
According to reports, she refused to obey her father's order of not making TikTok videos.
The police officials told ARY News that Anwarul-Haq had shifted to America with his wife and children several years ago.
He came to Pakistan on January 15 with Hira while his wife and two other daughters remained in the USA.
The police said the murder was preplanned and Anwarul-Haq had hatched the plot with the TikToker's maternal uncle Tayyab Ali.
Police have registered a case.
Both the accused have been arrested.
