'Return to fighting in Gaza fully coordinated with Washington': Israel tells media
The Israeli government spokesperson David Mencer Tuesday said that the country's return to fighting in Gaza had been "fully coordinated with Washington", media reports said.
"I can confirm that the return to intense fighting in Gaza has been fully coordinated with Washington. Israel has thanked President (Donald) Trump and his administration for their unyielding support for Israel," AFP reported quoting Mencer at a press briefing.
The Israeli military on Tuesday said it conducted 'extensive strikes' in the Gaza Strip on terror targets belonging to Hamas, marking the biggest attack since the ceasefire began on January 19.
The strikes also made further progress in the truce talks uncertain.
As per local Israeli media reports that quoted the Palestinian Health Ministry, 232 people died in the airstrikes.
