US: Texas man arrested for killing Indian student Chandrashekar Pole at Fort Worth gas station
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Indian-origin student Chandrashekar Pole at a gas station in Fort Worth, Texas, authorities said.

According to local media reports, Pole was working a part-time shift at the gas station on Friday when he was shot dead.
Police identified the suspect as Richard Florez, 23.
After the shooting, Florez allegedly became involved in a confrontation with another vehicle and fired multiple shots at it.
No one was injured in that incident, said Officer Brad Perez, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Police Department, as quoted by NBCDFW.
Florez then reportedly drove to the 8500 block of Meadowbrook Drive, where he rammed his vehicle through a metal gate and attempted to enter a private property. The residents called 911, leading to his arrest.
“He is currently in the hospital but has been booked for the homicide,” Perez said.
According to NDTV, Pole moved to the United States in 2023 to pursue higher studies after completing his bachelor’s degree in dental surgery in Hyderabad, India.
