Indian Market: Sensex rises 43 points
The BSE Sensex on Tuesday gained 43 points to open at 65,671.60 as buying was witnessed in industrial, energy, and consumer durable stocks.
The Nifty rose 35 points to 19,564.65.
The Mid Cap increased by 0.66 percent, while the Small Cap increased by 0.70 percent.
In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined.
The gainers were Titan by 1.22 pc to Rs 3137.05, Bajaj Finance by 0.68 pc to Rs 7317.60, L & T by 0.71 pc to Rs 2730, and ITC by 0.65 pc to Rs 440.40.
The losers were Tata Steel by 1.10 pc to Rs 130.25, JSW Steel by 0.98 pc to Rs 801.70, Bharti Airtel by 0.55 pc to Rs 850.30, and HCL Technologies by 0.47 pc to Rs 1226.80.
