5.0-magnitude quake hits Indonesia
Jakarta/IBNS/UNI: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 rocked off East Nusa Tenggara province in central Indonesia on Thursday, the country's meteorology, climatology, and geophysics agency said.
The weather agency reported that the quake happened at 16:30 p.m. Jakarta time (0930 GMT), with its epicenter being 17 km northwest of East Sumba district and a depth of 10 km under-land.
The tremors of the earthquake did not trigger giant waves, it added.
