Magnitude 6.2 earthquake hits Sri Lanka, no casualty
An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit Sri Lanka on Tuesday, as per data released by India's National Center for Seismology.
NCS posted on X: "Earthquake of Magnitude:6.2, Occurred on 14-11-2023, 12:31:10 IST, Lat: -2.96 & Long: 86.54, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: 1326km SE of Colombo, Sri Lanka."

No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.
Meanwhile, the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said that the earthquake has been recorded nearly 800 km Southeast of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean and that there was no danger to Sri Lanka due to the earthquake, reports Daily Mirror.
