New Delhi: The Ministry of Culture’s Republic Day tableau will showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and the vast possibilities of sustainable development.

The tableau concept is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi,’—a magnificent celebration of India’s cultural diversity and creativity.

Remarking on the significance of the tableau, Culture Secretary Arunesh Chawla said, “The tableau presented by the Ministry of Culture on Republic Day is a celebration of our country’s diversity, creativity, and development. Inspired by the honorable Prime Minister’s core mantra ‘Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi,’ this tableau conveys the message of realizing the vision of a developed India by 2047."

The ancient Tamil musical instrument ‘Yaadh,’ beautifully placed on the potter’s wheel, represents the depth and continuity of our musical tradition.

Meanwhile, the kinetic Kalpavriksha, which transforms into the ‘Golden Bird,’ symbolizes creativity and progress.

The digital screens showcase the diversity of performing arts, literature, architecture, design, and tourism.

“This tableau invites every Indian to take pride in their heritage and step towards a bright future,” Chawla stated.

The tableau begins with the Yaadh on the Potter’s Wheel, an ancient Tamil musical instrument that symbolises the profound depth and continuity of India's musical traditions.

This representation highlights the nation's enduring artistic heritage and the timelessness of its cultural expressions.

A striking feature of the tableau is the Kinetic Kalpavriksha, a vibrant and dynamic structure teeming with creativity.

This unique element transforms into the 'Golden Bird,' a powerful symbol of India's rich cultural heritage and its impressive economic progress.

The transformation serves as a metaphor for the nation's journey of growth and innovation.

Adding a modern touch, the tableau incorporates ten digital screens that celebrate the diversity of India’s creative fields.

These screens vividly portray the richness of performing arts, literature, architecture, design, and tourism, capturing the multifaceted and dynamic nature of the country's cultural landscape.

This tableau not only reflects India’s glorious past but also envisions a powerful and creative future.

It invites every Indian to take pride in their cultural heritage and step forward on the path of development, paving the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.
