This new Apple watch band is more than an accessory — Here’s why
Tech major Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop, a special-edition band created to honour Black History Month and celebrate the power of connection.
The new band is now available for order and continues Apple’s tradition of recognising Black culture, creativity, and community through thoughtfully designed products and initiatives.
Aligned with the theme of unity and connection, Apple is also supporting organisations that inspire creativity and promote meaningful opportunities in under-resourced communities across the globe. This includes new grants to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Urban Arts (New York City), Youth Music (London), Art Gallery of New South Wales (Sydney), and Enactus México (Mexico City).
These grants build on Apple’s long-standing commitment to advancing economic, educational, and creative opportunities worldwide.
The Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop—along with previously released Black Unity bands—was designed by Black creatives and allies at Apple. Showcasing the colours of the Pan-African flag, the band is crafted by weaving recycled polyester yarn filaments around ultrathin silicone threads using advanced precision-braiding technology.
Soft with a distinctive textured feel, the band is both sweat- and water-resistant. On closer inspection, it reveals multiple shades of red, green, and black, adding depth and visual richness to the design.
Pricing and Availability
The Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop is available for order on the Apple Store online and via the Apple Store app starting today, and will be available at Apple Store locations later this week.
The band is priced at ₹9,500 and is offered in 42mm and 46mm case sizes, with band sizes ranging from 0 to 12. It is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 or later, Apple Watch SE, and all Apple Watch Ultra models (46mm band only).
