After Ladki Bahin Yojana, Maharasjtra's Eknath Shinde govt introduces Ladla Bhai Yojna ahead of state polls

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has introduced the 'Ladla Bhai Yojana,' a new programmed designed to support young men who have completed their 12th-grade education in the state.


Under this scheme, young men in Maharashtra will participate in a one-year apprenticeship in factories.

The initiative aims to provide them with valuable work experience, thereby enhancing their prospects for future employment opportunities.

The participants will have the opportunity to undertake a one-year apprenticeship in factories, which will provide them with valuable practical experience aimed at enhancing their employability.

According to the Government of Maharashtra, the scheme will benefit over 1 million youths, with the government allocating around Rs 10,000 crore for its implementation.

Chief Minister Shinde underscored that this initiative represents a historic step toward creating a skilled workforce and highlighted its potential impact on employment generation.

The announcement was strategically made ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, scheduled to take place later this year.

Similarly, the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana aims to empower women aged 21 to 60 years by providing a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500, focusing on their holistic development, economic independence, and overall well-being.
