Amit Shah slams Congress over HD Deve Gowda's grandson Prajwal Revanna's 'sex scandal'
New Delhi/IBNS: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has questioned Congress over Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's 'inaction' in the case pertaining to the alleged sex scandal involving former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's grandson and Janata Dal Secular leader Prajwal Revanna.
Speaking to the reporters, Shah, whose Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is an ally of JDS, said, "BJP's stand is clear that it is with the country's 'Matri Shakti' and 'Nari Shakti'. Narendra Modi's commitment to the nation is the insult to 'Matri Shakti' won't be tolerated. Congress is accusing us but whose government is in place there?
"Why hasn't the Congress government acted against it? Law and order is a state issue. Priyanka-ji (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress general secretary) is questioning us! I would tell her that she should ask her own Chief Minister instead of questioning Narendra Modi and myself."
"We are in favour of investigation. JDS has also decided to take action against him. Today JDS has a core committee meeting and actions will be taken," the top BJP leader added.

The controversy erupted in Karnataka after videos showing Revanna allegedly sexually assaulting several women went viral on social media.
It went viral a day after Hassan constituency went to polls in the Lok Sabha contest.
Meanwhile, Revanna left India for Germany on Saturday morning, after the videos went viral.
The alleged scandal came to light after a woman filed a complaint against Revanna over sexual assault. She accused the JDS leader of sexually abusing her on several occasions between 2019 and 2022.
Janata Dal Secular leader HD Kumaraswamy on Monday said the party has decided to suspend Revanna, who is a Lok Sabha candidate in the ongoing elections, over the allegations of sexual abuse.
While expulsion means losing the party's primary membership, the suspension would bar Prajwal from participating in any JD(S) activity.
Prajwal's father HD Revanna has accused rivals of creating a conspiracy out of "old videos", which establishes alleged links of his son to the obscene videos.
