Bengal: 5-year-old girl raped and murdered in Alipurduar, accused beaten to death by angry villagers
Kolkata/IBNS: In another shocker from the state of West Bengal, a five-year-old girl was raped and murdered by a 40-year-old man in the Alipurduar district on Friday, media reports said.

Mona Roy, the accused, reportedly confessed to the villagers that he had raped and murdered the child.
Taking law into their own hands, the angry villagers beat the accused to death.
The girl went missing from a Kali Puja pandal on Friday afternoon.
When the family members were searching for the girl, some boys told them that she was seen with Mona.
The angry villagers went to Mona's house where the accused was seen washing his hands and feet drenched in blood.
Mona confessed he had lured the girl with jalebi and brought the child to his home, raped and murdered her and threw the body in the pond.
The angry villagers tied Mona to a tree and beat him to death.
A large team of police officers reached the spot and took away the bodies for post-mortem.
This the latest incident of such a crime from the state, which was rocked by protests over the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
