BJP demonstrates against alleged rape and murder of minor girl in West Bengal's
The Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and party workers demonstrated against the state authorities over the alleged rape and murder of a minor girl in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district on Sunday.

The political outfit said the result would have been different if the police had responded fast.
Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar, who led the protest, was quoted as saying by the media: " In case only 10 percent of the police force would have tried to find the minor girl two days ago and registered an FIR then things would have been different. The BJP would not have required to sit here today for the protest."
He alleged that the police were trying to suppress the democratic protest.
A minor girl has been allegedly kidnapped and murdered in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas, sparking anger among locals amid the public fury over the RG Kar case, media reports said.
Police said a minor in Mahishamari left home for a coaching class on Friday and did not return prompting her family to file a missing complaint.
At 3:30 am on Saturday, her body was found on a field with multiple injuries.
People in the area started protesting, vandalising and torched the police camp. Police have deployed a large team to prevent escalation of the situation which is still volatile in the area.
Mostakin Sardar, 19, has been arrested in connection with the incident, police officials said. Police said rape can't be confirmed until the post-mortem report comes.
West Bengal has been on boil for almost two months after a trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered at Kolkata's state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
The Kolkata Police came under massive public ire over the alleged cover-up of the incident that has triggered widespread protests across the country.
