Charminar Express derails at Nampally railway station in Hyderabad
Hyderabad/UNI: At least six passengers were injured after three coaches of Charminar Express derailed at Nampally railway station in Telangana's Hyderabad on Wednesday morning, railway officials said.
The incident occurred after the train from Chennai to Hyderabad reached Nampally railway station.
Six passengers were injured in the derailment and were moved to Lalaguda Railway Hospital.
SCR Chief Public Relation Officer Rakesh, who visited the incident spot, said a major accident was averted as maximum number of passengers departed at Secunderabad railway station.
All the six passengers received minor injuries in the incident due to jerking and were rushed to Lalaguda Railway Hospital, where treatment and the condition of all passengers are stable, he said.
In the incident, Coaches 2, 3 and 6 were derailed and the exact cause behind the derailment will be known only after the enquiry, he added.
State transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar ordered a probe into the incident.
The Minister directed the officials concerned to provide better treatment for the injured passengers.
