Reacting to the alleged detentions, the CJP accused the central government of acting against its own citizens to shield Gyanesh Kumar.

Without naming anyone, the group posted on X: “To save his traitor friend, the dictator has declared war against his own citizens!”

As they were escorted by the police, Dipke dared the cops to arrest them.

"Please arrest us, we are not afraid," Dipke said amid chants of "Bharat Mata Ki" and "Inquilab Zindabad" slogans.

Meanwhile, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was detained by Gurugram Police on Saturday ahead of his participation in the CJP protests against Gyanesh Kumar, media reports said.

Earlier this week, Rathee had joined the CJP protests at Freedom Park in Bengaluru.

Internet services were also reportedly suspended amid the security measures.

The protests are being held over alleged irregularities in voter rolls.
