'If TMC activists slap you, slap them harder': BJP MP Locket Chatterjee
Kolkata/IBNS: Reacting to the attack on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader during Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s mass outreach campaign, saffron party MP Locket Chatterjee has urged her colleagues to retaliate if the ruling camp members "slaps" them, media reports said.
Chatterjee made the comment at a party event in Hooghly district on Sunday.
She said, "If any TMC activist slaps you (commoners), if he doesn't want to hear your woes, tie him up with a tree and slap him four to five times."
"The TMC runs the government. They are not working for the benefit of the poor. If they slap you for non-performance in their area, slap them harder," the Hooghly MP added.
Chatterjee's comment came after a BJP leader was slapped during TMC's 'Didir Suraksha Kavach' programme, which has been launched by the ruling party ahead of the crucial panchayat polls.
Reportedly, the BJP leader, who was slapped, had voiced his complaints during the TMC's campaign.
