INDIA bloc dominates bypolls, clinches 10 seats, BJP manages to win 2
INDIA bloc registered a strong show and won 10 out of 13 seats in the recent by-polls held across seven states as results were declared on Saturday.

Proving all exit polls wrong, INDIA bloc put up a strong show in the Lok Sabha polls which witnessed the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government returning to power for the third straight term.
The INDIA bloc continued its strong run in the bypolls while the BJP won only two seats.
AAP's Mohinder Bhagat dominated the show in the Jalandhar West constituency which he won with a margin exceeding 23,000 votes.
The Trinamool Congress swept all the four seats in West Bengal where bypolls were held.
The four seats of West Bengal that went to bypolls are Maniktala, Bagda, Ranaghat Dakshin and Raiganj.
The Congress has won Dehra and Nalagarh assembly constituencies while the BJP has managed to retain Hamirpur seat.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu's wife and Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur has won from the Dehra assembly segment.
Thakur defeated her nearest rival, BJP's Hoshyar Singh, by 9,399 votes, according to the figure of Election Commission of India's official website.
DMK's Anniyur Siva won the Vikravandi assembly seat in Tamil Nadu by a margin of nearly 60,000 votes.
In Madhya Pradesh, BJP's Kamslesh Pratap Shahi clinched the Amarwar seat.
Independent candidate Shankar Singh bagged the Rupauli assembly bypoll in Bihar's Purnea.
Singh defeated JDU's Kaladhar Prasad Mandal.
These bypolls were the first election held in the country following the Lok Sabha polls whose results were declared on June 4.
The BJP won 240 seats, 32 down from touching majority.
The NDA alliance, led by the BJP, won 293 seats while INDIA won 232.
