Jaipur gas tanker crash: Toll touches 14, 30 critical
Jaipur/IBNS: At least 14 people have died while 30 others are in critical condition after an LPG tanker collided with a truck near a petrol pump on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway in Rajasthan on Friday, media reports said.

The Rajasthan government has announced a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs. 1 lakh for the injured.
The accident occurred at around 5:30 am.
Several other vehicles were also engulfed in fire.

The impact was so huge that it burnt 60 vehicles in its range , several people burnt to death , more than 60 admitted in hospital , 24 serious.

As per reports, the explosion could be heard upto 10 kilometer distance from where the incident happened. In fact, there were multiple explosions that took place.
The Supreme Court committee on road safety has asked the state chief secretary to submit a report on the incident by January 20, 2025.
A top level committee has also been formed to probe into the accident.
