Karnataka sex scandal: Probe team reaches Prajwal Revanna's home, fresh lookout notice issued
Bengaluru/IBNS: A special investigation team reached former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's grandson and JDS leader Prajwal Revanna's home as the investigation into the viral videos showing the latter allegedly sexually abusing several women intensified, media reports said.
A fresh lookout notice has been issued against Prajwal and his father HD Revanna with the latter being accused of kidnapping his maid who was one of the many allegedly being sexually abused by his son.
Karnataka Home Minister Parameshwara told media as quoted by NDTV, "We have issued lookout notices against both HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna.
"We had issued a lookout notice to HD Revanna as he may plan to go abroad. But the second notice was given yesterday. They have time until this evening to reply to the notices."
Earlier, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) had turned down Prajwal Revanna's request to give him seven days' time to appear before the probe officials.
Prajwal Revanna has been caught in the middle of a massive row in Karnataka after some leaked explicit videos allegedly showed him sexually assaulting multiple women.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has initiated a probe against him, in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged that the diplomatic passport of Prajwal Revanna be cancelled, as he has managed to leave the country despite being the key accused in the case.
The 33-year-old leader left for Germany on Saturday, a day after polling took place in Karnataka's Hassan from where he is a candidate, and shortly after the videos began circulating online.
The alleged scandal came to light after a woman filed a complaint against Prajwal Revanna over sexual assault. She accused the JDS leader of sexually abusing her on several occasions between 2019 and 2022.
