Kashmir: Three terrorists killed after group of militants opened fire at Army vehicles in Akhnoor
Srinagar/IBNS: Three militants were eliminated by the Indian Army in a counter-terror operation responding to an attack by a group of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor a day ago, media reports said.

The gunfight began after the terrorists opened fire at Army vehicles in the Jogwan area of Akhnoor on Monday.
The Army killed one terrorist and recovered a gun on the same day of the attack.
A large-scale operation was launched by the Army after it suspected two militants were hiding.
The Army posted on X, "All Three Hardcore Terrorists Eliminated Post Intense Firefight After round the clock surveillance through out the night, an intense firefight unfolded today morning resulting in a significant victory for our forces.
"Relentless operations and tactical excellence has led to the elimination of three terrorists. The operation also saw the successful recovery of war-like stores, marking a critical step in maintaining security in the region."

Three terrorists were spotted firing 15-20 rounds of fire on the vehicles including an ambulance.
The terrorists had deformed the idols at a temple in the area.
