Rahul Gandhi shares fitness routine

During his ongoing 'Ask Me Anything' session on Instagram, Gandhi was asked to share his fitness routine by a user who wrote, "Hey Rahul, need your fitness routine man."

Responding to the question, Gandhi said he prioritises consistency over following a rigid routine.

He also emphasised the importance of maintaining a healthy diet alongside exercise.

"The thing about fitness that's important is not really the routine you follow, it's being persistent, doing it continuously and allowing it to compound. Generally I do a little bit of martial arts which I like. I do a little bit of swimming, running," he said.

"Nowadays I have started yoga which is quite interesting. It is part of my work life to do one hour of building strength, aerobic capacity, and flexibility. So it's not something I do in my free time, but I make time for it regardless of what happens," Gandhi added.

‘Fitness doesn’t work’ without a healthy diet

Gandhi also highlighted the importance of maintaining healthy eating habits and avoiding excessive alcohol consumption and frequent snacking.

"If one is eating badly, or drinking a lot of alcohol or snacking all the time then forget all these fitness stuff. Don't bother with it, because it doesn't work. It works if you take it as a composite thing..." the Congress leader said.

Rahul Gandhi’s Gen Z outreach

Gandhi invited students and young users to participate in his Instagram 'Ask Me Anything' session as part of his wider outreach to the youth.

"Students, Gen Z, ask me anything and I'll reply to as many questions," Gandhi wrote on Instagram.

His interaction with young users comes amid heightened political engagement among students and the growing use of social media as a platform for political messaging.

Gandhi's outreach is also taking place against the backdrop of student protests, including demonstrations in Jharkhand, which is governed by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress coalition.

The protests followed nationwide demonstrations over the alleged NEET paper leak, which had put the Union Education Ministry under intense political pressure and ultimately led to Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation as Union Education Minister.
