Two terrorists killed, infiltration bid foiled in Jammu's Khour
Jammu/UNI: The Indian Army successfully foiled an infiltration bid on Saturday morning and eliminated two terrorists in Khour area here in the city outskirts.
Sources said that own troops on seeing a group of heavily armed terrorists trying to cross over on this side from across the border fired at them in Khour sector of Akhnoor.
One of the terrorists was hit by a gun shot and he fell down, they said.
"The body of the neutralised terrorist has been dragged back by others," said sources.
They said that troops are on high alert and maintaining close vigil along the International Border, adding, "second terrorist has also succumbed to injury."
They said that fire was set up on sarkanda (wild grass) near Pak post to divert attention and blind own surveillance devices, adding, "Jammu region has potential for greater national eyeballs but constant efforts are being made by Pakistan to revive terrorism in Rajouri-Poonch districts."
Sources added that Indian Army is carrying out relentless operations to thwart inimical designs.
"Intelligence based operations being carried out in difficult terrain and weather to prevent Dangri like incidents," sources asserted.
