Viral video of foreign tourists exploring New Delhi with a local auto rickshaw driver steals hearts!
Sometimes, the most unforgettable travel experiences don’t come from famous landmarks or carefully planned itineraries—they come from unexpected encounters along the way. A recent viral video from New Delhi captures this beautifully, showing how a simple auto rickshaw ride with a local driver turned into a full day of laughter, stories, and shared discovery for a group of foreign travellers.
The video, shared by travel vlogger Kur Keliauja Ugne, shows the travellers first meeting the driver near India Gate.
He is fondly introduced in the caption as “the man, the myth, the legend – Mister Mulchan.” The vlogger noted, “He wasn’t pushy at all – just very polite – so we decided to go with him.”
What began as a standard ride near the Lotus Temple soon turned into a lively adventure.
The travellers discovered that Mulchan hadn’t visited many of the popular sights himself. In response, the vlogger invited him along: “Why wait outside? Please, join us.” That simple gesture led to what she described as “the most amazing day ever.”
Together, they explored temples, parks, and other attractions, with the driver becoming a fellow adventurer rather than just a guide.
Mulchan helped the group navigate the busy streets, ensured they got fair prices, and shared fascinating stories about India. Before leaving, the travellers also visited him and his family, deepening the connection formed during the day.
Reflecting on the experience, the vlogger said, “Mr Mulchan not only showed us the real hospitality of Indian people, but also helped us navigate New Delhi, get fair prices, and told us many stories about India. The country is beautiful, chaotic, charming, and I can’t wait to visit again.”
The video has struck a chord online, with Instagram users sharing their reactions.
“You made his day…he will not forget you guys forever," one user said.
“You gave him a Core Memory,” said another.
This heartwarming story is a reminder that the best travel experiences often come not from landmarks or itineraries, but from human connections, shared moments, and unexpected friendships.
