The film was screened at the 30th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) in December.
Speaking of the film, Aparna Sen said, "Anjan is the sole reason for me being in this film . Having directed him, it's been a pleasure acting along with him. Perhaps the level of comfort has found its way into our intimate exchanges in Ei Raat Tomar Amar directed by Param (Parambrata Chattopadhyay).
"I can claim responsibility for a very young Param's entry into this world as much as Rinadi is the force behind a young me setting out to become an actor," Anjan Dutt said.

Parambrata says, "The idea of the film is extremely close to my heart . Having lost my parents at a young age , subjects involving the elderly and the intrigue in relationships that survive through decades have always interested me and I have tried to aptly reflect in Ei Raat Tomar Amar."
