Punjab Kings-Delhi Capitals IPL match called off after Pakistan attacks India
Dharamsala/IBNS: The 58th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off in Dharamsala on Thursday after Pakistan attacked India in Jammu, Punjab and Rajasthan amid the rising tension between the two nations.

The match was first halted after 10.1 overs first after stadium lights were switched off in a blackout.
Later, the crowd in the stadium were asked to leave.
The players and match officials were also rushed out of the stadium.
A special train has also been called to rush the players and match officials from Dharamsala to New Delhi.
At the time when the match was called off, Punjab were batting solid at 122-1.
Explaining the decision to call off the match, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia told India Today, "The situation is not stable at the moment, and that is why we have cancelled today’s match — not just in Dharamsala, but also due to escalating tensions from the neighbouring country.
"The safety of players, spectators, and support staff is our top priority. We will do everything that is in the best interest of the nations involved."
"We are closely monitoring the situation and will make further decisions accordingly," he added.
