Deepa Dasmunsi head for AICC screening committee for Tripura coming today

Opposition Congress is gearing up for all-out fight against BJP in upcoming assembly election and  senior AICC leader  Deepa Dasmunsi, the chairperson for the screening committee is arriving here on Saturday for a three day visit .

Congress sources said that  Dasmunsi  likely to go different districts  of the state to have a preliminary survey about the possible candidates. Two other members of the committee Kamaleswar Patel and SA Sampath Kumar will also arrive in the state.

Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha  said the party is preparing to fight the misrule of BJP  from grass-root level and  already the AICC has appointed 60 observers for all the constituencies who will coming soon and keep regular contact with party workers and leaders of their respective constituencies.

While, demanding immediate arrest of all accused persons involved with hurling petrol bombs and destruction of party decorations in front of Udaipur Congress Bhava, the Udaipur Zilla Congress committee on Friday staged a protest rally and submitted deputation before police authorities.

The protest rally with participation of hundreds of Congress workers marched through different thoroughfares of Udaipur town and ended in front of R K Nagar police station, where  a delegation of five leaders submitted a memorandum before the OC , Babul Das demanding proper investigation of the incident and arrest of all accused persons.

It may be recalled here on Wednesday night, some unidentified miscreants  had hurled petrol bombs targeting district Congress office and they had also destroyed party’s decorations by setting fire on these flags and festoons.
