11 Sherowali bus passengers, one SDJM narrowly escape with life in road mishaps
In a road mishap, altogether 11 passengers narrowly escaped with life after Sherowali passenger bus coming from Guwahati towards Agartala on Monday morning met the road mishap and fall in a pond at the national highway portion of Karamcherra under Manu police station of Unakoti district.
Police sources said that a passenger bus of Sherowali travels coming from Guwahati and in the early morning of Monday , when the bus reached near Karamcherra Bazar area , the driver of the bus lost his control and the bus fell straight into a roadside pond. As a result, altogether 11 passengers boarded in the bus suffered injuries.
After the accident was reported, police and firefighters rushed to the spot and they shifted all injured passengers to Manu and 82-Mile primary hospitals, where all of the injured passengers were released after primary treatment. Police added that all passengers had narrowly escaped with life as the bus fell into a pond.
In another road mishap, the sub divisional judicial magistrate of Longtharai Valley has also narrowly escaped from life when his personal vehicle met road accident at Chakmaghat area of National Highway-8 on Monday afternoon.
Police sources said that the SDJM Avinash Jamatia after his personal works was returning to his work place from Agartala with his personal Hyundai car. When the car reached Chakmaghat area, a tipper truck coming from the opposite direction crushed the car.
As a result, SDJM Avinash Debbarma narrowly escaped, but his car was severely damaged. Later, police seized the Tipper truck and also detained the accused diver.
Police added that the matter has been solved through mutual discussion, after the truck driver was ready to compensate for the damages of the car.
