15 Tripura battalion NCC celebrates excellence: Republic Day camp, Sainik camp achievers, piping ceremony, honoured in grand ceremony
The 15 Tripura Battalion NCC organized a grand felicitation and piping ceremony to honour its outstanding cadets and newly promoted Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), marking a proud moment for the battalion and the state of Tripura. The event was presided over by the Commanding Officer (CO), who applauded the remarkable achievements of the unit during the 2025 and 2026 training years.
The highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of six exceptional cadets who represented the North Eastern Region Directorate at the prestigious Republic Day Camp 2025 /2026 & Thal Sainik Camp 2025. This achievement reflects the battalion’s high training standards and performance.
Among the achievers of the prestigious Republic Day Camp were SUO Niresh Singha (RDC 2025), UO Krishna Baishnab (RDC 2026), CDT Joydip Saha (RDC 2026), CDT Akash Jamatia (RDC 2026) and UO Manas Pratim Baishya (RDC 2026), who brought laurels to the state through their discipline, parade excellence, and leadership. CDT Shibam Shil were honoured for their participation in the All India Thal Sainik Camp, where they demonstrated exceptional physical endurance, field craft, and tactical skills.
The ceremony also witnessed a proud milestone as five dedicated Associate NCC Officers were promoted from the rank of 3rd Officer to 2nd Officer during the traditional piping ceremony conducted by the CO. The promoted officers — Goutam Deb (APC School), Joydeb Chakraborty (Sukanta Academy English Medium H.S.), Mithun Ranjan Dey (Shalgora English Medium H.S.), Sujata Datta (Nandanagar H.S. English Medium), and Suman Hossain (Nobogram H.S. English Medium) — expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing disciplined and responsible youth.
In his address, the Commanding Officer stated that the success of the cadets and officers stands as a testament to the dedication, discipline, and rigorous training culture of the battalion. He encouraged junior cadets to draw inspiration from the achievers and strive for excellence at national platforms.
The ceremony concluded with a formal salute, words of motivation, and a renewed pledge to uphold the proud legacy of the 15 Tripura Battalion NCC. The event not only celebrated achievements but also strengthened the spirit of unity, leadership, and patriotism among the cadets and staff.
