18 drug peddlers arrested with Heroin from Udaipur town
The Gomati district police through their special drive against narcotics, on Wednesday has arrested 18 drug peddlers and recovered 255 filled vials of Heroin and mobile phones.
Giving details police said that during the anti-narcotic drive and based on secret information, the police personnel from RK Pur police station raided the house of one suspected drug smuggler, Nityananda Dey at Mata Bari area and recovered some vials of Heroin under his possession.
Based on the interrogation statements of arrested Nityananda Dey, the police team raided many other places of Udaipur town and arrested 17 more youths involved with peddling and a total of 255 vials of Heroin has also been recovered under their possession.
Police added that all arrested youths under the age group of 22 to 35 years and RK Pur police station have registered a specific case under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985 and all arrested drug peddlers will be produced before a local court on Thursday.
