19,796 more Smartphone to college students, Sushanta Chowdhury
Tripura cabinet on Friday has decided to distribute 19,796 more smartphones to students studying in colleges under 'Mukhyamantri Yuva Yogayog Yojana'.
Addressing a press conference at the Civil Secretariat on Friday evening after the cabinet meeting, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that earlier the state government distributed smartphones to 28,745 college students and now, the government will distribute 19,796 more phones to students. For this purpose, the government will utilize a fund of Rs.9.89 crore.
He said that the state cabinet has also decided to recruit 53 persons in the Finance and Health departments. Among the 53 posts, 23 posts of senior computer assistant,g group-C will be recruited through Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) for the Finance department and the government will also fill up 10 vacant posts of LDC in the Finance department through TPSC.
For the Health department, the government will recruit 10 temporary Dental Technicians and 10 more temporary Dental Hygienists, said Chowdhury.
The Minister added that the cabinet has approved the setting up another Tripura Bhavan in Delhi at Dwaraka area of the national capital and for the cost of land provided by Delhi Development Authority, the state government has to give Rs.23,66,23,070. Large number of people from the state goes to Delhi for different works or treatment purposes but don’t get accommodation in Tripura Bhavans due to non-availability of room in the two existing Tripura Bhavans and setting up third Bhavan in New Delhi will definitely provide a great relief to the state’s people.
