Agartala city police launched flag march to improve public confidence

The Agartala city police on Tuesday evening launched a flag march cum area domination exercise to improve public confidence and prevention measures to control the crime around the city.

Giving details of the surprise move of the city police just two few months before the 2023 assembly elections, SDPO (Sadar) Ajoy Kumar Das said that the city police with their motorbike team are continuing their patrolling across the city to control miscreant activities and now, the police with large number of security forces and vehicles has launched the flag march and area domination drive.

He said that there are some black spots across the city, where miscreants and anti-social people gather every evening and engage themselves with boozing parties, which often became a threat for city dwellers.

With enhancement of police patrolling through flag marches, such kinds of anti-social activities will be curbed and will also generate confidence measures among the city dwellers for their smooth movements in every nook and corner of the city, said Das. He also hoped that through this move police forces will strongly control anti-social activities in the city along with measures to control the drug menaces.
