The  Radhanagar Battalion of  Agartala sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (E) destroyed large scale cultivation of Marijuana (Ganja) plants in forest area of Ramdhula Para under Unakoti district on Monday.

Assam Rifles sources said that based on the input received  from own source and police with respect to large scale plantation of Marijuana (Ganja) in forest land Ramdhula Para, a joint operation was launched by the party of Radhanagar Battalion of Assam Rifles  with SDPO Kumarghat and police representative from Pecharthal Police Station on Monday.  The operation party destroyed approximately 12,000 Marijuana plants which were planted in 2 acre of Forest land at Ramdhula Para.The State police has valued the total destroyed Marijuana plant to an approximate cost of Rs 24 Lakhs and police is on its job to find out the cultivators.
