AR detained a drug paddler with large quantities of Heroin
The Radhanagar Battalion of Agartala sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IG-AR (E) in a joint operation with Kadamtala police station apprehended one drug paddler along with grade-I heroin on Monday.
Assam Rifles (AR) sources said that based on credible information of Drugs sale, a joint operation was launched by Radhanagar Battalion of Assam Rifles with police personnel from Kadamtala police station of North Tripura district and apprehending one drug paddler identified as Nazrul Islam (26) Kathaltali of Bazaricharra of Assam along with 102 grams of Grade -I Heroin with approximate cost of Rs. 41 Lakh.
The apprehended paddler along with seized Heroin was handed over to Kadamtala police station for further investigation and legal proceedings. Assam Rifles added that they have demonstrated its commitment towards drug free society.
