Assam Rifles and DRI seizes Yaba tablets worth Rs 39 crores in Cachar district, Assam
Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) launched an operation based on information of trafficking of drugs in Cachar district of Assam.
During the operation, the team apprehended three individuals, residents of Tripura, who were transporting 1,30,000 Yaba Tablets worth Rs 39 Crores via NH 306 late night on January 20, 2026. Two Tata trucks and two mobiles in possession of the individuals were also recovered and further investigation is underway.
Assam Rifles has been at the forefront of anti-drug operations in the region, conducting regular operations to disrupt and dismantle narcotics networks. This seizure is a significant milestone in the effort to combat drug trafficking.
