The headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles and its under command battalions celebrated the 191st Assam Rifles Raising Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour across multiple locations including Agartala, Radhanagar, Srikona, Lokra and Haflong.

The celebrations reflected the force’s rich legacy, operational excellence and deep-rooted commitment towards the people of the North East.

Special Sainik Sammelan was organized at the Alpha Auditorium at Agartala during which the DGAR congratulated the Assam Rifles personnel and their families on the occasion of the 191st Assam Rifles Day through Video Conference mode.

At Haflong, the historic birthplace of the force, celebrations were conducted with great pride. The day commenced with an energetic 'AR Day Run' involving troops and local youth symbolising unity and the enduring bond with the local community.

A solemn wreath laying ceremony was conducted to honour the brave hearts who made the supreme sacrifice. The event was graced by Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris, who continue to inspire future generations.

The celebrations also included a Blood Donation Camp, Commandant’s Special Sainik Sammelan and a children’s drawing competition, highlighting both service and community engagement.

At Lokra, the celebrations were marked by participation of Ex-Servicemen. Events included a Cyclothon, interactive career guidance sessions for youth, drawing competitions, and a friendly volleyball match between serving personnel and veterans.

A medical camp and flag hoisting ceremony were also organized, followed by a traditional Badakhana, reinforcing camaraderie and mutual respect.

At Srikona, a unity run witnessed participation of over 230 soldiers showcasing discipline, cohesion and collective spirit. The event concluded with refreshments, reinforcing bonds among troops.

At Agartala, Assam Rifles organized a Drone display showcasing modern technological capabilities and their role in contemporary security operations.

A blood donation camp was also conducted with active participation from troops and local residents, underlining commitment to humanitarian service.

At Radhanagar, the eve of Raising Day was observed through extensive community outreach programmes. Veterans were honoured for their invaluable contributions.

Events included a friendly volleyball match with locals, CPR training session to enhance emergency preparedness and a medical camp at Golakpur, providing essential healthcare services.

These multi-location celebrations reaffirm the Assam Rifles’ enduring ethos as the 'Sentinels of the North East'. From honouring its historic legacy to embracing modern technology and strengthening civil-military relations, the force continues to serve with dedication, compassion and professionalism.
