Personnel of the Assam Rifles participated enthusiastically in the World Blood Donor Day programme organised by the Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council under the Department of Health and Family Welfare of Tripura government at Pragna Bhawan on Saturday.

The event was graced by the Chief Minister of Tripura , Dr Manik Saha as the chief guest and witnessed the participation of volunteers from various organisations and institutions.

A large number of troops from the Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles voluntarily donated blood during the programme, demonstrating their commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility. Their participation reflected the force's enduring belief that true strength lies not only in safeguarding the nation but also in serving society through acts of compassion and selflessness.

The gesture was widely appreciated by the civil administration and attendees present at the event, who lauded the soldiers for contributing to a cause that helps save lives and strengthens community welfare.
