‘Bhoomi Sanman Platinum’ award for digital India land record modernization, a proud moment for Tripura
The President of India Droupadi Murmu handed over the “Bhumi Sanman Platinum Award-2023” to Tripura government for its major success in the work on digitization and for Digital India Land Records Modernization in six subjects and out of eight districts of the state, seven districts received the prestigious award. These awards were given during a programme held at the plenary hall of ‘Vigyan Bhavan’ in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference here at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday evening, the Principal Secretary of Revenue department Punit Agarwal said that for the current year the state has been conferred the ‘Platinum Certificate’ by the government of India’s ministry of Rural Development and Land Records ‘in recognition of outstanding work done by achieving saturation in implementation of components of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme. The award has been given for computerization of land records, digitization of cadastral maps / FMBs, Linkage of ROR with cadastral maps, computerization of registration , Integration of registration with land records and for setting up modern record room and among eight districts of Tripura, seven districts received the award.
The districts that have achieved cent percent success in these fields of work are Dhalai, Gomati, Khowai, Sepahijala, South Tripura, Unakoti and West Tripura, said Agarwal. He said that a total of 68 districts of nine states of the country received this prestigious award.
Agarwal said that getting “Bhumi Sanman Platinum Award-2023” is a very proud moment for Tripura and its digitalization works.
During the press meet apart from Principal Secretary, the District Magistrate (DM) of South Tripura district Saju Vahid, DM of Unakoti district TK Chakma and Rantajit Debbarma, the director of Land Reforms department were also present.
