BJP leader Kanai arrested for vandalising party office
A senior leader of the BJP’s 8-Town Bardowali Mandal was arrested by East Agartala Police on Wednesday in connection with the ransacking and vandalisation of a party office near Pratapgarh Bridge.
Providing details, Officer-in-Charge of East Agartala Police Station, Subrata Debnath, said that a group of miscreants had vandalised the BJP office near Pratapgarh Bridge a few days ago. Several vehicles and motorcycles parked in the area were also damaged during the incident.
Based on a complaint lodged at the police station, police arrested Debasish Saha, alias Kanai, on Wednesday afternoon. He will be produced before a local court on Thursday for further legal proceedings, the OC added.
