BJP top brass hold meeting for Parliamentary elections
The BJP top leaders held a closed door meeting to prepare strategy for the coming Parliamentary elections at a city based hotel on Friday.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, BJP general secretary, in-charge Tripura, Mahesh Sharma, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and Union Minister Pratima Bhoummik remained present among other top party leaders.
“Various issues related to the Parliamentary elections discussed at length in the meeting and leaders were asked to finish their assigned task to reach out to the people”, said a senior party leader.
“The programmes like Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) and Prateri Ghera Sushsan 2.0 were also reviewed. Besides, some key Assembly constituencies were identified as relatively weak where the party leaders were asked to work hard for better outcome”, he said.
On his part, Sharma urged the party leaders to work hard and together to ensure party’s victory in both Lok Sabha constituencies- West Tripura and East Tripura.
It has also been decided the party will go for all-out organizational activities after inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
However, no discussion on the party candidates for the two seats was discussed at the meeting as it will be decided by the party’s central election committee.
