BJP’s victory crucial for making 'Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura': CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said that for the betterment of the country and to make ‘Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura’, everyone must ensure the victory of BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
Dr Saha said this while addressing a massive election campaign at Kadamtala in North District in support of BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma.
"We have two seats in Tripura. We have the support of IPFT and Tipra Motha. Many people had said that winning in Boxanagar, a minority-dominated area, was impossible. However, we secured over 30,000 votes in the by-election. Leaders questioned how this was possible. I said that due to PM Modi’s 'Sabka Saath Sabka Viswas', people have faith in him, and that's why it was possible. PM Modi not only talks but also gives guarantees. PM Modi has ensured that people do not miss out on centrally sponsored schemes. Following this, the Tripura government has also launched 'Proti Ghore Sushasan' for the people. PM Modi always prioritizes the welfare of the people," said Dr. Saha.
He also emphasized how the Act East policy launched by PM Modi has transformed the Northeast states, bringing about massive development.
"We have the HIRA model. Development knows no religion. PM Modi has instructed every party worker to visit every household to seek blessings, strengthen bonds, and gain support. During the UPA regime, corruption was rampant. However, after 2014, the meaning of politics changed due to PM Modi. Our BJP government is dedicated to fulfilling the basic needs of the people. We are committed to the same path," said Dr Saha.
Dr Saha also highlighted the various schemes introduced by the state government, such as CM Jan Arogya Yojana, empowering women through the formation of SHGs, and enhancing specialized services in AGMC, Dental College, and others.
"We have witnessed a lot of politics based on caste and tribe. But now, BJP, IPFT, and Tipra Motha are working together to make Tripura the best it can be. CPIM always fostered division and ruled the state through dictatorship. They suppressed democracy during their 35-year rule. People have seen it. People then turned to Congress to rid themselves of CPIM, but Congress did the same. In Tripura, we made history by conducting the 2023 Assembly Election without violence. People understand that only BJP and PM Modi can bring about real development and protect the country. To safeguard the country and make Tripura srestha Tripura, we must ensure victory of BJP," he added.
During the program, BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma, Minister Tinku Roy, Youth leader Nabadal Banik and others were present.
