BJP set to surpass 2019 performance in West Bengal: CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Thursday said that the BJP is poised to secure more seats than it did in the 2019 Lok Sabha election in West Bengal, citing massive support for the saffron party among the populace.
Speaking with media persons after blood donation camp in Agartala , Dr Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized that this time, the BJP and NDA will secure victory in over 400 seats.
"It's just a matter of time. I have campaigned in around four to five locations in West Bengal, and in the coming days, I am going for an extensive campaign. I believe that PM Modi's vision will be realized, as I have witnessed a positive response and considerable support among the people, even in West Bengal," he said.
Dr Saha asserted that out of the 42 seats in West Bengal, the BJP aims to secure victory in 32 seats.
"In the last Lok Sabha election, we secured victory in 18 seats, and this time, it will be more. The opposition is apprehensive and making such statements merely to boost the morale of their cadres, as they are intimidated," he added.
