BL Santosh arrived, BJP to take out ‘Rath Yatra’ from January 1st week
Soon after arrival in the state capital for two days visit, BJP’s national general secretary (organizational) B L Santosh chaired series of meeting with party leaders and fixed target to complete organizational works for all assembly constituencies.
Sources said that during his two days state visit, Santosh , apart from attending meetings with state leaders of the party and phase wise will meet the leaders of districts, Morcha to finalize the poll strategy of the party. Sources added that BL Santosh will discuss with the state leaders for selection of party candidates for ensuing assembly elections.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha,state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and union minister of state, Pratima Bhowmik received him at Agartala airport and attended the meeting with party leaders at including Pradesh Core committee.
Party sources said that the ruling BJP in Tripura will organise a ‘Rath Yatra’ across the state from the first week of January and a three-member committee headed by Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury has been constituted to oversee preparations for the yatra.
BJP through a press statement said that one yatra will start North Tripura district while another from South Tripura district.
BJP media in-charge Sunit Sarkar said the objective of the yatra is to seek the blessings of people in the run-up to the polls. BJP added that people will join the ‘Rath Yatra’ to show solidarity towards the party that has addressed their basic needs.
