BSF seizes Yaba tablet tablets worth Rs. 3 Cr and destroys Ganja plantations in joint operations
Based on specific intelligence, BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) A R Pur under Jatrapur police of Sepahijala district, conducted a search operation in the forested area near Indian village Bhawanipur. During the operation, the vigilant BSF troops recovered 30,000 Yaba tablets (weighting 3kg approx) valued Rs 3 crore.
Additionally, in a separate joint operation, BSF troops, along with the Forest Department, and Assam Rifle, destroyed 3,00,000 ganja plants cultivated across 7 plots spread over approximately 10 acres of land in the depth area of village Dhanirampur, under Sonamura district Sepahijala.
These successful operations reaffirm the BSF’s unwavering commitment to curbing trans-border crimes—including drug trafficking—in close coordination with sister agencies, ensuring the safety and security of the people of Tripura.
