After declaration of candidate list for ruling BJP and opposition Congress, two scenes witnessed celebration and ransacking of party offices with poll decorations over resentment of candidate names.
Soon after declaration of candidate list, many BJP party offices under Kadamtala-Kurti assembly seat were closed by agitated supporters and they also ransacked party offices and poll decorations.
Agitated workers had also staged demonstrations in front of party offices demanding immediate removal of candidate Dilip Tanti.
Similar incidents were also reported from Chandipur assembly constituency after BJP declared its candidate Tinku Roy name as party candidate for the coming assembly election.
While, reports said that Congress workers in large numbers addressing a press conference in Dharmanagar threaten en masse resignation from party membership if the top leaders of the party will not change the name of Chayan Bhattacharjee as its candidate from Dharmanagar assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, amidst continued dispute among Left Front and Congress over the declaration of candidate names, the stalemate among both party leaders has continued over seat sharing. Earlier, the Left Front vacant 13 seats for Congress, but on Saturday Congress declared the names of its candidates for 17 seats, which created confusion among supporters of both parties.

Similar celebration was also witnessed from Kamalasagar seat, where BJP named its candidate Antara Deb Sarkar, the incumbent Sabhadipati of West Tripura Zilla Parishad.
