City police burst a big gang of bike lifters, 4 arrested and five missing bikes recovered
The Agartala police on Monday managed to break up a bike lifting gang and arrested four members of the gang along with five missing motorbikes under their possessions.
Giving details, SDPO(Sadar) Debaprasad Roy said that during investigation of motorbike lifting case, committed on December 12 last from Lake Chowmuhani area under West Agartala police station, a team of police get details of a big gang, involved in many bike lifting and snatching cases.
Initially, police has arrested one of the gang member and based on his interrogation statements and other evidences, the city police managed to burst a big gang of bike liters, said Roy and added that on Monday , a total four lifters actively involved in the bike lifting gang were arrested and five missing motorbikes were also recovered under their possessions.
He said that two more members of the gang are still on the run and police are hoping that soon they will also be arrested.
OC of West Agartala police station, Rana Chatterjee said that all arrested bike lifters will be produced before a local court with police remand appeals for further interrogation.
